Black cumin, ground

Black cumin comes from southern Europe and western Asia. Ground cumin seeds are a great substitute for pepper, because it does not irritate the stomach lining. It is also used as an additive in bread, processed vegetable products, for flavoring wine and to a small extent for the production of essential oils used in confectionery. Black cumin is also appreciated and used in medicine.
